How to Make the Most of All-Round Tools When Working on Your New Farm

If you have recently opened a small farm and intend to use the space for a variety of different purposes, then you will need to make sure that you have the best all-round equipment that money can buy. After all, you may not have the luxury of a huge budget and certainly don't want to waste your cash on surplus gear, so you need to think very carefully before you go ahead. What is one of the most valuable assets that you can buy in order to take full advantage of your smallholding?

Using All-Round Tools

As this may be the first time that you have owned a facility like this, you may not realise that you can get certain tractor attachments that have "all in one" functionality.

You will, of course, need to get a tractor that can cope with this type of addition, but once you've done so, make sure that you equip it with a four-in-one bucket. When you do so, you will be able to use this tool for a variety of different purposes and thus ensure that your life on the farm is more efficient.

Levelling

To begin with, you will be able to level out an area using the appropriate function by exposing the enclosed blades and driving the tractor in reverse. You can spread out earth or gravel in the desired area and use the blade to create and cut an edge to define your work.

Grading

You can also use the bucket in the open position to help you to push or grade an area using loose material. It is easier to drive the tractor forward when performing this manoeuvre, assuming that you have material that has already been excavated or introduced for the purpose.

Scooping

This tool will also function as a standard bucket, so you can scoop material once it has been loosened. You will then be able to move it from one point to another while the bucket is elevated from the ground, being careful to work within the operating restraints of the equipment.

Clearing

You may also be able to use the equipment to clear debris or other larger objects from your work area. You will simply need to position the object in question within the centre of the bucket and activate the levelling bar to clamp the object and move it out of the way.

Placing Your Order

Don't forget, you will have to buy a tractor that is able to accept this type of four-in-one tool and should always choose equipment that is reliable, well known and trustworthy. Talk with your equipment supplier to get things under way.
