When I purchased some new land on which to grow my crops, I didn't realise the risk posed by heavy rainfall. The land is at the bottom of a slope, so during a storm a large amount of water can collect on the ground, swamping my plants and causing a great deal of damage. My friend recommended that I install a soak well in order to capture and drain excess water from the land. I consulted with an engineer and some contractors and they helped me to design and install a soak well on my land. Since then I have had no problems with flooding.
